Seaside Cruizers Show & Shine
June 15 More than 500 classic cars will be on display at Qualicom Beach on Vancouver Island during this event, which once earned a mention on the Oprah Winfrey Show as one of the 10 best things to do on Fathers Day.

Calaveras County Fair
May 1418 Mark Twains first published work, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, inspired the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee held annually in May at Angels Camp, situated between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe on Highway 49. Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival
June 68 The 25th annual Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival will offer balloon rides, a wine garden, arts and crafts fair, commercial exhibits and a food court at Lake Skinner, a Riverside County park in Winchester. Meridian Dairy Days
June 1721 Meridians heritage as a dairy center has been celebrated annually since 1929. The event begins Thursday night in Storey Park with a pancake feed followed by a free concert by the Meridian Symphony Orchestra. The festival marketplace opens Friday with 80 vendors selling food, crafts and other product. A parade Friday night will feature 100 entries focusing on a dairy theme. Other events include a carnival, farm animal exhibit, dairy cow and dairy goat shows, and a Milk Mocktail contest, in which the public votes on the best dairy-based drink at local restaurants. Montana Senior Olympics
June 1214 Men and women 50 and older are invited to compete in the annual Summer Games of the Montana Senior Olympics in Butte. Events include archery, bowling, cycling, golf, horseshoes, race-walk, racquetball, swimming, table tennis and track and field. Entrants compete in 10 age categories. National Bison Range Birthday
May 23 The National Bison Range was established on May 23, 1908, in northwest Montana. The centennial will be marked with a series of events, and the usual fees for scenic drives will be waived. West Yellowstone Centennial and Train Day
June 11 The first trainload of visitors to Yellowstone National Park arrived 100 years ago on this date at the site of what would become West Yellowstone. The centennial will be marked with historic presentations and music at the Union Pacific Dining Lodge in the Oregon Short Line Terminus Historic District. Railway Reflections
July 17August 17 Art that captures the magic of railroading will be on display at the Nevada State Library Gallery in Carson City as part of an effort to raise money to benefit the Virginia and Truckee Railroad reconstruction.
The Railway Reflections art exposition will be part of a month-long series of events that also will include gourmet dinners and tastings, a film festival of train-themed movies, model train displays, a golf tournament, and concerts. The events are designed to raise money for reconstruction of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad on an 18-mile route between Carson City and Virginia City. Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival
May 1718 A group of rafters who called themselves the Oregon River Rats initiated the Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival in 1984 by staging contests on the Carter Falls section of the Upper Clackamas River east of Estacada. Since then the event has grown to include rafting, kayaking and river boarding events under sponsorship of the Northwest Rafters Association. The 25th annual event will include a variety of competitions including events for high school students and members of the armed forces. Chainsaw Sculpture Competition
June 1215 Large Sitka spruce logs will be transformed into works of art at the Oregon Divisional Chainsaw Sculpture Championships at Reedsport on the Oregon coast. Golden Spike Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival

Puyallup Home & RV Show
April 30May 4 The Puyallup Home and RV Show will feature both manufactured homes and recreation vehicles of every size and description. The event, sponsored by the Manufactured Home and RV Show Association, will be held at the Puyallup Fairgrounds in Puyallup, east of Tacoma.
The show will include a Dream Home Village with decorated and landscaped homes by leading manufacturers. Nearly 20 RV dealers will be on hand to exhibit their products. In addition, there will be booths featuring RV resorts and other products and services related to the RV lifestyle.
The show will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $6 for students 13 to 18. Children 12 and younger are admitted free. For information, visit www.mhrvlife.com.
Grays Harbor Shorebird Festival
May 24 Each spring hundreds of thousands of shorebirds stop to rest and feed at the Grays Harbor estuary during their migration to the Arctic from as far south as Argentina. Coinciding with this event is the Grays Harbor Shorebird Festival, which features guided field trips to view the birds.
The festival also includes lectures, a birders bazaar, a nature fun fair and poster contests. Festival headquarters is at Central Elementary School in Hoquiam. Country Music Jam
May 34 Amateur and professional musicians and singers will gather at the Ocean Shores Convention Center in Ocean Shores for open jam sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. Ski to Sea Festival
May 1525 The festival was inspired by the Mt. Baker Marathon of 1911-13 when contestants used automobiles or the railroad to race part way from Bellingham Bay to Mt. Baker and then ran up the mountainside and back. The current Ski to Sea Race is a seven-leg relay that involves skiing, running, mountain biking, kayaking and canoeing. The Ski to Sea Race will be on May 25 and will be followed in Bellingham by festivities that include shows for antique autos and antique wooden boats. Sunbanks Rhythm and Blues Festival
May 1518 Sunbanks Resort in Electric City, near Grand Coulee Dam, will host is spring rhythm and blues festival, starting with an acoustic showcase in the Cantina on Thursday. Featured performers Thursday will include Lew Schmngy, Randy Norris, Holly ORiley, Acoustic Danger and Nine Pound Hammer.

Edmonds Waterfront Festival
May 30June 1 Sixteen classic wooden yachts will be on display and open for free tours at the Edmonds marina during the Edmonds Waterfront Festival. The yachts, gathering for the third annual rendezvous of the Classic Yacht Association, are adorned with teak, oak and mahogany bright work and have been maintained in pristine condition. The yachts will be on view Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Rotary Club of Edmonds sponsors the annual festival, which includes arts and crafts exhibits, carnival rides, a beer garden, a family stage and other activities at the Port of Edmonds Marina. Gathering of Warbirds
June1415 Seven decades of military aircraft from old bi-planes to high-performance jets will be on view at the 10th annual air show at the Olympic Flight Museum at the Olympia Regional Airport in Olympia. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. and the air show performances are from 1 to 4 p.m.

Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival
June 2022 Nationally known entertainers will join local acts at the sixth annual Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival at the Chelan County Expo Center in Cashmere. Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze
June 2022 The Rusty Scupper Pirates are the headline attraction at this annual family festival at Westport that includes a parade, contests, the arrival of tall ships, and other events.
