Haulmark Motorcoach made its mark in the auto racing industry by building big, strong motorhomes that could provide drivers with a home on the road and also tow their racecars and other equipment.
The company is still building sports decks (motorhomes that tow horse and racecar trailers) and toy haulers, but it is putting new emphasis on the general RV market. The targeted buyer is someone who wants a heavy-duty luxury coach with the size and power to easily tow a car, boat, ATVs, motorcycles or other vehicles.
Haulmark has redesigned its motor coaches with upgraded features and an improved selection of floor plans. Corian countertops and porcelain tile in the kitchen, living and bath areas are now standard. Color-coordinated showers have been added to complement six new interior decors and four choices of solid hardwood cabinetry.
The 2012 models include a redesigned kitchen with extra counter space, pullout pantries, a 1.7-cubic-foot convection microwave oven, and a dinette area with freestanding chairs and a large storage credenza. Other features include large LCD high-definition TVs, a Sony home theater system and a Blu-Ray DVD player.
Buyers can choose a variety of options, such as an AquaHot hydronic heating system, heated tile floors, an integrated Garmin navigation system and a stackable washer/dryer. Other options include solid Corian showers, granite floors, vessel bowl sinks and residential furniture.
Haulmark, which is based in Elkhart, Indiana, builds motorhomes from 40 to 45 feet in length with a variety of chassis and engines. Suggested retail prices range from $320,000 to $500,000.
Haulmark Motorcoach is part of Universal Trailer Corporation’s family of brands, including Haulmark Industries, which builds cargo trailers, motorcycle and snowmobile trailers and car haulers. For information on Haulmark motorhomes, visit haulmarkmotorcoach.com.
