Wow, there is a motorhome at the Seattle RV & Outdoor Recreation Show you must see. It's the all new Embark by Jayco, a stunning Class C diesel with over 7 tons of towing capacity! This rig can tow just about any vehicle, boat or trailer your lifestyle can throw at it. The beefy Embark is also rich in luxurious details such as solid surface counters, a 32" HDTV and GPS navigation system. Plus, it features a unique four slide-out floor plan all built upon an easy-to-handle Freightliner chassis. Now, if I can just find a trailer big enough to handle all the family's toys to tow behind it. There are the: dirt bikes, bicycles, gold dredge, snowmobiles, ATV, 4x4 buggy.......

This week at Dave & LJs, everything came in fours, and it also seemed to be "Holiday Rambler" week. We had a 2004 Endeavor with four slides brought in for a front flat screen TV conversion, new carpet and a new Flexsteel ultra leather hideabed. Next we worked on a 2006 Endeavor that the customer brought to us, to have flat screens installed in the front, as well as the kitchen and rear bedroom! They purchased matching Toshiba LCD TV's, a 32" for the front, a 19" for the kitchen and a 26" for the bedroom. Each area required a different installation technique, but all ended up looking like a factory install. Below are photos of the completed work. Next week we will be getting back to work on the "Watson's Renovation" that I had previously blogged about. All of the products are in for this job, and I hope you will enjoy watching the transformation. Thanks again for checking out our blog! The big Seattle RV & Outdoor Recreation Show opens this Thursday, February 5th at Qwest Field Event Center. Is this the year you will take the Alaska RV trip you have always dreamed of? The Alaska Marine Highway System will be exhibiting at the show and hosting a daily seminar entitled, "RVing the Alaska Marine Highway". While my wife and I have taken two RV trips to Alaska, we only utilized the ferry system with the RV for a short haul between Whittier and Valdez. When we have the better part of a summer to return to Alaska, I hope to load an RV onboard the ferry system at Bellingham, Washington, take the inside passage, disembarking at ports along the way, and ending up in Haines, Alaska. Then spend some time exploring Alaska and other points north, returning via the Alaska Highway. Come to the show and find out how easy it is to sail to Alaska with your RV. For more show details visit: www.mhrvshows.com

Henderson is the president of Henderson’s Line-Up, Brake and RV and SuperSteer/SuperStop products in Grants Pass, Oregon. In the new column, he will answer questions about steering, handling, alignment, brakes and tires. If you have any questions on these topics, please send them to editor@rvlife.com. Questions will be forwarded to Robert, and his answers will appear in the column as he discusses topics of general interest to RVers.

This week we have some nice projects to share with you! We had an Alpine coach that we removed some existing laminate and carpet, and installed a wood look laminate from the front firewall all the way to the bedroom door. We carpeted the bedroom and trim areas, then installed tan marbled step treads in the entryway. This customer choose a dark oak finish to offset all of the whitewashed wood interior. The second project this week was an American Eagle coach that came in for two flat screen TV installations, as well as the installation of three Carefree Smart Visors. The Carefree Smart Visors are a power operated visor to take place of the traditional swing down visors. They operate off of the 12 volt system. A rocker switch for each shade was installed on the dash, to allow individual operation of all three shades. The front TV came from the factory on an electric lift to raise the TV up from the center of the dashboard. We installed a new flat screen surrounded by a custom built walnut trim ring. In the bedroom we installed the new flat screen on a hinge,to allow the TV to swing out to load DVD's into the built in DVD player in the side of the TV. We finished off the cabinet behind for additional storage. This customer is coming back in a couple of weeks to install a third TV in his outside storage bay. I hope you enjoy the photos, and keep coming back! Thank you, David Ast

Last week I challenged readers to find a "lost" mine using a few clues and Google Earth. So far, no one has claimed the prize offered. Let's look at a piece of history in the region of the mine and see if it brings you any closer to the prize. Now pay attention and see if you can solve last week's mystery.

This week at Dave & LJ's we have a couple of nice projects to share with you. The first is a Beaver Marquis. This coach is about ten years old and the interior was in nice shape except for the flooring. It had an outdated oak parquet floor along with ten year old carpet. We removed the hardwood, and installed a nice tile looking laminate flooring in the kitchen, bath and stairwell. We then carpeted all of the remaining areas. The new flooring really gave this coach a fresh new look. One of the other coaches we had scheduled this week was in for a new flat screen TV. This Foretravel Gran Villa came with a 20" tube TV. We replaced this with a 32" Sharp LCD flat screen. We had to move all of the components to the right side, and rebuild the cabinet with a new door. The new TV was mounted about six inches forward, so we built a contoured vinyl panel to blend in with the existing recessed cieling panel. The finished product showed no sign of an aftermarket installation. We have some exciting projects coming up and are booking into late February, so keep checking back to see whats new! Thanks for visiting David Ast
