What $2.5 million Will Buy

At a list price of $2.5 million, the Vantaré Platinum Plus from Featherlite is described by its manufacturer as the most expensive luxury coach ever put on the market.

Featherlite took a Prevost shell and invited interior designer Karen B. Horton to help create a coach of unrivaled luxury. Then it enlisted artists and craftspeople to design special pieces, such as a one-of-a-kind glass sink and countertop of fused glass by Seattle artist Mark Ditzler, and a signed glass sink and matching countertop by Seattle artist Roberto Scira. The salon, galley and hall ceiling are covered in custom copper sculpture and the ceiling lighting shines through Swarovski crystal.

The bedroom features a king bed with a plasma TV that lifts out of the footboard. The headboard has mirrored posts with Schonbek crystal and antique bronze leaf sconces. The walls in the bedroom are European strie and all bath hardware is from France, finished in copper and crystal. The shower walls are onyx.

Other features include an Avic N-2 global positioning system with real-time traffic and weather alerts and a rear closet with a built-in treadmill and a 13-inch LCD television that disappears behind a mirror.
