Accu-Dish Aims to Improve Reception
Accu-Dish has upgraded its leveling device designed to keep the mount tube of a satellite dish vertical for accurate aiming to maximize television reception.
The base of the new stand is hollow and can be filled with water for added stability. A compass with degrees marked is built in for easy aiming. And it comes with built-in tether straps for staking down if necessary.
Accu-Dish works on level or uneven ground. A ladder mount kit is available to mount the leveling device on the roof or ladder of a motorhome or trailer. An easy-to-see level bubble is in the top of the dish mount tube. The stand comes in three models, including adaptors for the two most commonly used dish tripods. Accu-Dish is manufactured and distributed by the Rack Factory in Long Beach, California. For information, call (888) 717-6270 or see www.accu-dish.com.
System Monitors Tire Pressure
Doran Manufacturing of Cincinnati, Ohio, is offering a system that continuously monitors the tire pressure on trucks and RVs, and displays the numbers in a digital readout near the driver.
The pressure of up to 16 tires can be tracked by the Doran PressurePro system. The system replaces existing tire valve caps with sensors. The monitor can be mounted on the dash and can be plugged into a standard 12-volt receptacle. Audible and visual alerts notify the driver when tire pressure is low. The system can help drivers improve tire wear by maintaining proper inflation and can alert drivers to the need to repair or replace tires. Prices for the Doran PressurePro start at $375 for a four-wheel system. For information, phone (866) 816-SAFE or see www.doranmfg.com.
