New Itasca Has European Styling
The recently introduced 2008 Itasca Navion iQ is a 24-foot motorhome with an aerodynamic front end, aluminum skin sidewalls, full body paint, a front skylight, and a European-inspired interior with curved cabinetry, all of which help make it unlike anything else on the market today, according to the manufacturer, Winnebago Industries.
The Class C motorhome comes in two innovative floor plans, including one with an expansive full-width back window for a panoramic view. The front skylight provides an abundance of natural light controlled by a built-in shade.
The Navion iQ is built on a Dodge Sprinter chassis with a GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of 11,030 pounds and has a Mercedes Benz engine with 154 horsepower and a five-speed transmission. The new clean-air diesel engine emits just one-sixtieth of the soot of a 1988 diesel motorhome. A 3,500-pound trailer hitch is standard.
The cab seats swivel to join the living area when the RV is parked. The galley is at mid-coach with a two-burner range, round stainless steel sink and a refrigerator/freezer.
A 19-inch LCD is mounted in the dinette area and swivels for viewing throughout the coach. It operates on 12-volt power so the TV can be seen without using a generator or hooking up to shoreline power.
The Navion iQ has a manufacturers suggested base retail price of $95,126. For more information, visit www.winnebagoind.com.
