Winnebago Debuts New Class C
Winnebago Industries, which has been gaining in Class C motorhome sales through the popularity of its View and Navion models, has expanded its lineup for 2007 to include two value-priced newcomers, the Winnebago Access and Itasca Impulse.
Each is offered in six floor plans ranging in length from 22 to 31 feet and each carries a manufacturers suggested retail base price starting at $59,000. The models are available on a Ford or Chevy/Workhorse chassis.
The Access and Impulse have a fully equipped galley, including a microwave, three-burner range top, double-door refrigerator/freezer and a double sink. Two of the floor plans offer an optional dinette slideout, and another features a front sofa/dinette slideout room, and a shirt closet with a countertop that is convenient for folding clothes.
Bathroom and bedroom designs vary in each plan. One plan has a large rear bath that runs the width of the coach. Another has a rear corner bed with a large wardrobe closet next to the bathroom, and a swivel/slide lounge chair.
Three models have a large rear storage trunk and an 80-inch interior height in the galley/lounge area.
A home theater sound system, a 27-inch television set, and a DVD player are among the choices available.
The Access and Impulse are equipped with a 13,500 BTU air conditioner, and the furnace is either 25,000 BTU or 30,000 BTU, depending on the model.
