Brake Stops Unhooked Tow Vehicle
The SuperStop Brake-A-Way system is a device that will apply the brakes on a towed vehicle if it becomes disengaged from the vehicle that is towing it. The system consists of an air storage tank, solenoid valve and trip switch. If the vehicle breaks away, the trip switch electronically engages the solenoid valve, which directs the stored air to the tow brake system. The device does not otherwise interfere with the towed vehicles braking system and no modifications are required to the tow bar, safety chains or receiver hitch. Kit Adds Braking Power
Pacbrake has introduced the new PRXB exhaust brake kit for Ford 7.3L Powerstroke diesel trucks. The new device has been engineered to apply constant backpressure as engine speeds change, maintaining optimum retarding performance through the entire RPM range. The effect is to improve driver safety and control.
The manufacturer says the PRXB will decrease the number of brake relines by as many as five times over the life of the vehicle, saving as much as $7,500 in maintenance costs. Monitor Keeps Track of Fuel
The TRAX II-FMS Fuel Monitoring System from Transfer Flow is a device that informs the vehicle driver about fuel consumption and the operation of the fuel system. The dash-mounted LCD display shows the number of gallons remaining in the tank, miles per gallon, fuel consumption rate, and the distance and time before the tank runs empty.
The system also allows the driver to keep up-to-date with detailed information on a trip, calculating such details as the distance traveled, average speed, average fuel economy, and the cost of fuel since the trip began. The device also alerts the driver if there is any problem with the fuel system. Pontoon Adds Plastic Seat
The ODC Super Sport from The Creek Company of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is a one-person pontoon boat designed for fishermen. It comes with 8-foot long pontoons with a plastic molded seat and pinnable oarlock stations. The boat can be maneuvered with fins for hands-free fishing.
The boat has side cargo pockets and a stripping apron for catching fly line. The manufacturer says the boat can be assembled and disassembled in minutes and fits in the trunk of a car. Pet Loader Safeguards Dogs
