Are you a retired RVer and on a fixed income, maybe you are a people person and looking for some face time with other RVers or maybe the downturn in economy displaced you from your job and you are looking for a new, less stressful lifestyle?

If you fit any of these descriptions or countless others then camp hosting might be for you. Camp hosting is one of the fastest growing trends in the American job market. Typically, camp hosts (either individuals or couples), with their own RV, offer their labor serving at a campground in exchange for a free campsite (most with full hook ups) and occasionally wages. Most camp hosting positions in the Northwest are seasonal, running from about May to October. Camp host positions in warm weather snowbird states like Florida, Arizona or Texas can be year round. Typically camp hosts are responsible for greeting guests, light maintenance, collecting fees and assisting guests when needed.

If learning more about camp hosting interests you, be sure to attend the “Volunteering in Washington State Parks” seminar held 2:00PM daily at the Seattle RV Show February              9th - 12th at the CenturyLink Event Center. While the seminar deals with hosting in state parks, it will provide you with insight on hosting and how it works regardless on where you decide to host.

Hosting your way across the country month by month can be a great way to do so on a limited budget while enjoying the RV lifestyle, meeting fun people and a lifetime of RVing adventures along the way.
