For the last quarter century, the Frank Sinatra Starkey Hearing Foundation Celebrity Invitational has been held in the California desert. The two day event, held March 1-3 this year, benefits the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center at Eisenhower Medical Center in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs.

The event, dubbed “Frank’s little party in the desert,” draws a host of celebrities, amateur contestants, loyal sponsors, and enthusiastic spectators from all over the country. This celebrity-friendly event welcomes cameras and spectators. A spectator pass for the event is just $10 per day, with separate tickets sold to the dinner, luncheon, and silent auction. This year’s attendee list includes celebrities Pat Boone, William Devane, Rollie Fingers, Steve Garvey, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jim McMahon, Elke Sommer, Paul Anka, Jill St. John, Dick Van Dyke, and Chad Everett, to name a few.

The Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invite will be held at the FantaFrankSinatraGolfersy Springs Resort Casino and Eagle Falls Golf Course, located just outside of Palm Desert. This marquee golf and fundraising event is dedicated to the memory and music of old blue eyes himself, the incomparable Mr. Frank Sinatra. The famous singer and entertainer, who died at 82 in 1998, once said, “If I’d have known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself!”

Taking care of others is what the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center is all about. The mission of the center is to provide counseling for victims of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and to focus on prevention, community education, and breaking the generational cycle of abuse. Barbara Sinatra is quick to thank supporters of the Frank Sinatra Starkey Hearing Foundation Celebrity Invitational, and she is proud to say, “The children who come to us for help continue to receive the therapy they need and deserve; no child is turned away due to a family’s inability to pay.”

Whether you’re sitting on the sidelines watching the action or skillfully navigating around strategically-placed sand traps, you will get to attend an exciting, classic event and help out a great cause, too. For more details or to sign up for the event, visit www.franksinatragolf.org.
